Biography
Pam appears on more than 600 Motion Picture and Television scores, ten seasons with The Simpsons, plus recordings with Burt Bacharach, H. B Barnum, David Benoit, James Brown, Michael Bublé, Earth Wind and Fire, David Campbell, Claire Fischer, Michael Jackson, Al Jarreau, Marty Paitch, Prince, Barbra Streisand, Chaka Khan, John Legend, Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Justin Timberlake and Trisha Yearwood.
Born in North Platte, Nebraska, Pam moved to Bakersfield, California when she was four years old. She was surrounded by big band music in her home and was singing Doris Day and Rosemary Clooney songs constantly. By the age of six she frequently went to the movies with her parents and heard the beautiful string sections in the motion picture film scores of Michel Legrand, Henri Mancini and Jerry Goldsmith. That was it! She said to herself that she would play the violin and perform music like Michel Legrand's music in Summer of '42. Now Pam is a freelance violinist and is also a music educator and a Director on the Executive Board of the American Federation of Musicians union Local 47 in Los Angeles. She earned Master degrees in both violin performance and music education from the University of Southern California, and was awarded membership in the Music Honor Society, Pi Kappa Lambda.
A member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra since its inception in 1991, Pam has also toured Japan and Brazil and recorded with the ensemble.
She has been a member of the Pasadena Symphony since 1990 and also plays in the Symphonice Jazz Orchestra and recorded at Studio 8H in NYC during the 1990's.
Also substituted with New West Symphony for three years.
For the last twelve years she has regularly toured with Andrea Bocelli. She has played in the Los Angeles Opera, American Ballet Theatre, Civic Light Opera, Greek Theatre and Hollywood Pantages Theatre
Pam performed live for the Academy Awards Orchestra for twelve years with Musical Director Bill Conti, and American Idol for six seasons with Rickey Minor. She performed on The Emmys, The Grammys, The Tonight Show, The Voice and the BET Awards with Ernie Fields. She was the soloist and on camera for the last episode of Happy Days final wedding episode. She played in the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games Orchestra for the opening and closing ceremonies.
She has recorded scores with composers Bruce Broughton, Jay Chattaway, Alf Clausen, Steven Dorff, Elmer Bernstein, Bill Conti, John Debney, Danny Elfman, Charlie Fox, John Ottman, Elliot Goldenthal, Richard Gibbs, Dave Grusin, James Horner, Seth MacFarlane, Justin Hurwitz, Marc Isham, Maurice Jarre, Quincy Jones, Ron Jones, Michael Kamen, Rolfe Kent, Rick Marvin,
Dennis McCarthy, Alan Menken, Ira Newborn, Van Dyke Parks, Bill Ross, Basil Poledouris, John Powell, Rachel Portman, Steven Price, Trevor Rabin, Arthur Rubinstein Lalo Schifrin, Howard Shore, Joseph Trapanese and John Williams. Especially memorable was playing for ten years on The Simpsons with composer Alf Clausen.
Philanthropic activities have included Assistance League Operation School Bell for over ten years. She directly worked with Los Angeles inner city children provideing them with new clothes and health kits.

She studied violin with Stuart Canin, Joe Chassman, Rafael Druian, Bob Lipset, Eudice Shapiro, Paul Shure and Henry Temianka. Chamber Music studies with The Kronos Quartet, Charles Castleman and Alice and Eleanor Schoenfeld.
Pam has served on the American Federation of Musicians Local 47 Board of Directors for 20 years participating in orchestra committee negotiations, recording contract actions and public relations events. She has attended AFM National Conventions as the Local 47 delegate.
Long standing active member of The Recording Musicians Association of Los Angeles.
She has been a 30-year member of The Society of Composers and Lyricists helping musicians to network with composers.
Pam has a private violin teaching studio and has also taught with USC Preparatory School, Mount St. Mary's College, Pasadena Youth Music Program, Harmony Project, Center for Early Education and Los Angeles Youth Orchestra.
